Credit Europe Bank Romania registered a net profit of 34.5 million lei in 2022

Credit Europe Bank Romania continued to strengthen its position on the local market in 2022. Despite the fact Bank’s assets slightly decreased, the composition became more favorable as the Bank has reached to a loan portfolio of RON 2.3 billion, up 11% from the previous year. During the same period, the bank achieved a net profit of 34.5 million lei in the context of ongoing investments in digitalization.

Furthermore, the turnover generated by credit cards business through which Credit Europe Bank Romania has innovated the local banking market over the years, stood at 1.41 billion lei, up by 12% compared to 2021.

"2022 was another year of investments for Credit Europe Bank Romania. Digitization remains our priority. We have introduced to the market new products, such as Google Pay, the Avantaj SoftPOS app for merchants and the Virtual Card usable on mobile devices. We shall continue to introduce new products in 2023 and further", said Yakup Çil, CEO of Credit Europe Bank Romania.
